Tanager AudioWorks is a company founded on a basic mission—to provide indispensible tools for musical creation. We believe that today’s powerful array of computer-based software aimed at writing and recording music could be made much more powerful and useful if only musicians had the right tools. In our experience, and as with many things, having the right tool makes all the difference.

If It Doesn’t Exist – Create It

Want to record your masterpiece song in your favorite DAW but get frustrated at the lack of chord, lyric, melody and song structure specific tools? Welcome to the club. Are you a rock, pop or country songwriter but give up on the idea of using notation software to help you write because you don’t read music? You are not alone! Today’s music software tools excel at recording audio or MIDI projects, writing orchestral parts, creating loops or beats, or emulating hardware instruments and effects. The “song” part of the project is left to the user with little or no help. We’re on a mission to fix that—no matter what your favorite computer platform or tools are.

Our goal is to develop powerful products which are truly easy to use for beginners and professionals alike. We are avid users of just about every recording, loop/beat and composition software tool available, and it is our goal to provide tools which both fill in the gaps between these products as well as enhance your ability to make great music—anytime and anywhere.

Tanager AudioWorks is a Northern New Jersey based music software company focused on products for songwriters and recording musicians. The company’s president and founder, Scott Bausback, is a 25 year veteran of the electronic test and measurement instrumentation industry and the owner/operator of Tanager Sound—a Pro Tools HD2 based project studio.

John Alexander, the company’s VP of Software Development, combines a Berklee music composition background with years of MIDI and audio software development at Coda/Make Music, Voyetra Turtle Beach and GVOX/Passport. He leads an enthusiastic team of engineers experienced in audio, video and media management applications.
